International Numbers

Markit supports signing up or subscribing to profiles with all valid international phone numbers. However, currently Markit only supports the use of +1 phone numbers from the United States and Canada for receiving and sending texts.

This means that any contacts with international numbers will not be able to receive texts until international sms support is added.
