Payouts

How and when you receive earnings from memberships, products, and events.

How payouts work

Markit processes all payments through Stripe. When a subscriber purchases a membership, product, or event ticket, the funds are collected by Stripe and transferred to your connected bank account on a rolling basis.

To receive payouts, you need a connected Stripe account. You can connect one during onboarding or at any time from Settings → Payouts.

Payout timing

Stripe pays out on a standard schedule — typically 2 business days after a transaction clears for US bank accounts. Your first payout may take longer (up to 7 days) while Stripe verifies your account.

Payouts hit your bank account automatically. There's nothing to manually trigger.

Fees deducted before payout

Before funds reach your bank, Stripe's transaction fees are deducted from each sale:

Transaction typeFee
Memberships & products2.9% + $0.30
Event tickets2.88% + $1.29 (paid by buyer at checkout)

Markit charges zero additional platform fees. See the fees page for the full breakdown.

Connecting your bank account

  1. Go to Settings → Payouts.
  2. Click Connect with Stripe.
  3. Follow the Stripe prompts to enter your bank details and verify your identity.

Once connected, all future payouts will route to that account automatically.
