Use Case Guides
Host a newsletter or blog
Publish to your audience, charge for premium posts, and bring on sponsors — all without sending anyone to a separate site.
Think Substack, built on text instead of email. Your posts land directly in a text inbox — not buried in a folder nobody opens. Markit gives you a public newsletter, a paid tier, and sponsor monetization all in one place, with built-in distribution to everyone on your list.
Why creators use this
- Texts actually reach people. 98% open rate — email doesn't come close. No algorithm deciding whether your post surfaces, no inbox your subscribers have to dig through.
- Free and paid in one place. Run a public feed and a paywalled premium tier from the same dashboard.
- Built-in distribution. Every post auto-appears in your Link in Bio — new visitors can browse your back catalog without subscribing first.
- Two-way by default. Subscribers can reply directly to your posts from their regular messaging app. That's what makes this feel different from every other newsletter platform.
- Sponsor revenue. Drop a sponsor block inside any post and share subscriber and engagement stats with brands directly from your dashboard.
Set it up
Create a new Text Post under Products, write your post, set it to public, paid, or subscribers-only, and hit publish. Full walkthrough in Text/Blog Posts. To add a paid tier, see Memberships.
Tips
- Schedule for when people are on their phones. Texts are immediate — timing matters more than it does with email.
- Tease paid content to free subscribers. A preview of what's behind the paywall is your best upsell.
- Reply to replies. When a subscriber texts back, respond — that's what makes SMS feel different from every other channel.
