Track Submissions
See how many people each automation reached and converted, and re-text everyone who converted
Every automation tracks its own performance so you can see what's working and follow up with the people it brought in. There are two numbers that matter, at two different stages of the funnel.
Reach vs. Conversions
- Entered flow — how many people triggered the automation. Every comment that matches the automation's post and keyword counts here, whether or not the person went on to give you their number. This is your top-of-funnel reach.
- Conversions — how many people completed the flow and became a contact. For a Send as Text automation, this is everyone who submitted their phone number and joined your audience.
Comparing the two tells you where people drop off. A high entered flow with low conversions usually means the offer or the ask needs work; a low entered flow means the post or keyword isn't driving enough qualifying comments.
Each automation shows its own counts, so you can compare automations and see which posts and keywords convert best.
Re-text everyone who converted
The people an automation converts are grouped together so you can message them again as a segment. When you send a text, the recipient picker includes an Auto DMs section: pick an automation and Markit targets everyone who converted through it.
This is useful for following up with a specific audience — for example, texting everyone who came in through your giveaway reel about the next drop, without messaging your whole list.
Only Send as Text automations appear in the Auto DMs section, since those are the ones that produce contacts. A plain DM automation doesn't collect phone numbers, so there's no one to re-text.
Tips
- Name your automations clearly (by post, offer, or campaign) so they're easy to recognize later in the recipient picker.
- Watch the drop-off between entered flow and conversions when testing a new keyword or offer — it's the fastest signal that something in the DM ask needs tightening.
