What is a drip campaign?

A drip campaign is a series of texts sent automatically on a schedule after someone enters an automation flow. Instead of sending a single welcome text, you send a sequence — each one timed to arrive days or hours after the last.

Example: Someone subscribes to your text list. They immediately get a welcome text. Two days later, they get a text about your latest product. A week later, they get a link to join your paid community. All of that happens automatically, without you doing anything after the initial setup.

How to build one

Drip campaigns are built inside any automation flow. The most common starting point is the Clicked Subscribe automation, which fires when someone joins your list.

1. Go to Automations and open the flow you want to add a drip to.
2. Add a new auto text to the flow.
3. Set a time delay — the amount of time that passes before this text sends, relative to when the person entered the flow.
4. Write the text.
5. Repeat for each step in your sequence.

The first text in the flow always sends immediately. Every text after that uses its time delay to determine when it goes out.

Time delays

Time delays are set per text and measured from when the person entered the flow — not from the previous text. Set each delay based on when you want that specific message to land.

Tips

• Lead with value. The first text should deliver on whatever you promised — a link, a resource, a welcome offer.
• Space texts out. Sending three texts in 24 hours will get you unsubscribes. Give people room to breathe.
• Each text should have one goal. Don't cram everything into one message. Pick one action per text.
• End with a CTA. Every text in the sequence should point somewhere — a product, a link, a reply.
